ABOUT US
OUR STORY
AKM Farm is a small Jersey cow dairy farm located in Dutchess County New York and owned and operated by Diane and Michael Massarone. We have three daughters—Amanda, Katelyn, and Melissa—whose initials inspired the name AKM Farm.
Michael grew up raising dairy cows and was actively involved in the Dutchess County 4-H Program. Following in his footsteps, our daughters participated in the 4-H program for many years, raising and showing pigs and goats. Michael’s passion for dairy farming, combined with Diane’s love for Jersey cows, led to the creation of the AKM Farm dairy.
At AKM Farm, we are deeply passionate about our cows and the many benefits of raw milk. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and animal care to ensure our cows remain healthy and our milk is clean, fresh, and safe for consumption.
Our milking equipment and milk quality are closely monitored by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. In addition, as a requirement of maintaining a New York State raw milk license, we work closely with Quality Milk Production Services, which conducts regular visits to our farm to evaluate and offer advise on our milking procedures and cow health.
